........and what are you doing?

I am putting up the outside houselights today, then the tree etc at the weekend. Christmas wil then begin.

Finish work on the 12th, a few days away in Jersey and then settling in for Christmas at home. At the out-laws Christmas day, my Mums boxing day and then for a few days, finishing with New year at the neighbours and back to work on the 3rd of January next year.

Anybody doing anything just as boring or maybe even very exciting??

Eldest sprog's burfday on Saturday, so we wait until that is all done & dusted before setting up Xmas. Tree & decs up on Sunday. Pressies under tree. Replace pressies on the Monday after dog has eaten them. Roast dog & all the trimmings on Xmas day.

christmas just sort of happens for me, no preparation, last minute present buying, slight panic as last minute holiday booking from work and then some parties....and oh, it's january

Best current estimate.....

....I've decided I can take up religion when I retire, until then it just causes wars and doesn't pay the bills.

Friday 23rd. Taking the day off and heading to Westonbirt Arboretum to see the lights. Staying in a local hotel, then on to my sister's place for Christmas Eve/Day. Then lots of family visiting and so on...

Should be pretty GREAT!

Tree went up yesterday and all the decorations.

No outside lights going up this year upon fear of being labelled (CHAV).

Bath Xmas Market next Saturday to buy pressies and drink mulled wine.

Break up 23rd and drink and eat lots until Jan 2nd.

Hic, Merry Christmas!

Jesus was born in january not xmas 25th Dec
there more suicides at xmas than any other time of year and relationship bust ups, so what actually are we celebrating, how many unwanted gifts you can buy for somebody? Sorry if I sound a miserable bastard, but xmas can be shit for a large majority of people, homeless, elderly, those who live alone, theres so much pressure to buy a disgusitng amount of presents, spending money that alot of us don't really have. The real values of christmas are long gone
