Didnt know you could make jet engines that small, would it need to run at a higher rpm ?

120,000-170,000 rpm - that offers the most efficient use of fuel.

Model rc jets have traditionally lacked the authenticity of having a true jet engine until recent years; previously jets needed to be powered by either gas or electric motors with a propeller (thus spoiling the look of the aircraft), noisy ducted fan or 'pulse jets' (which are more rocket motors than anything else), but now they can be powered by a fully functional jet turbine.

Is that the video where he crashes it just like the real one that plonked it in at an airshow?

Theres another vid going around with a slightly smaller a380 that some kid flys around inside a hall.

Fill it with explosives and add in a GPS unit and you've yourself a cruise missile though, some nutter in NZ is apparently building his own cruise missile in his shed using many model parts.

Stick a camera on it and you've got yourself a GlobalHawk replacement (well ok maybe not...)

Way of the future.

Damn it, can't watch the vid through work proxy and I don't go home for at least an hour LOL

It's just quality, Radio Controlled Car + Jet engine, I wonder........

Didn't Rover try to fit a Jet Engine to a car once ?
