Leather repair
Discussion
Hi guys.
I've ripped a leather jacket and need it repaired, invisibly if possible. The tear is a corner type rip - about 2 inches long with a 90 degree bend in the middle, like 2 sides of a square. It is a clear tear so I'm hoping the material can be repaired directly without need for replacing panels etc. Can anyone recommend an expert in London or Bristol (or nearish to either), with an emphasis on quality not frugality?
That'll teach me to try to climb out of my cage.

Give you a bump,i wonder if its worth trying an upholsterer, they work wonders with leather.
No don't, a upholsterer ( like me ) can do big furntiure in leather, but repairing leather is something completely different, use yellow pages and speak to someone who specialises in leather repair work.

Thanks guys. I've tried a couple from the Yellow Pages but it's hard to judge over the phone, hence the request for recommendations. The ones I spoke to sounded.. er... not to the required standard. Good for thongs and leather basques apparently, but I'd prefer a bit more insulation at the moment.
Found www.leathermagic.co.uk these guys on the internet. Anyone with any experience of them? Surely with all the leather-lined sports cars owned by the PH collective there must be someone who's had to deal with this sort of thing before...?
