Oven lamp tragedy

Anyone here supply these things? I've tried Ebay, and Maplin (twice) - who have all sent me the wrong sized bulb for my oven lamp!

Basically, its a small Edison screw, and a small squat short bulb. Everyone I try keeps sending me golf-ball sized bulbs, which are useless as they don't fit.

I don't have the original because it shattered as I removed it, but heres an idea of what it looks like:



Its the one at the top with the small thread. I'm unwilling to order anything else from the internet until I actually get someone to physically check the bulb size - which most places can't be bothered to do. None of my local shops appear willing/able to stock them.

Its doing my head in because the oven neon is permanently lit without a lamp in (to indicate a fault). Can anyone help?

I picked my last one up from Sainsbury's but not sure that they do them anymore....

This may be a silly question but have you tried contacting the manufacturer of the oven? They might have a spares dept...

Please check its a small edison screw fitting, not the larger one

Pretty sure that the same as the ones I use in the hob extractor light...Sainsburys or Tescos is the place.

I'll take a look this afternoon when I collect Son from school.

I bought one just like that...for an oven no less, at B&Q (or could have been HomeBase - always get the two confused).

I get mine from a wee hardware shop on my road, the fishtank one blows all the time...

I have a lamp in the bedroom that takes bulbs like that, I buy mine from Tesco. Couple of quid.
