According to a rather misleading Sky News article, and after checking with MetCheck, there's near-as-damn a certainty of snow over Wednesday/Thursday/Friday for most of the country.

Hoorah is all I can say. A proper winter at last!

Just checked it for my area, rain on Thursday, but snow overnight and into Friday morning, then rain in the afternoon.

Don't think its going to stay too long.

My dear mother has forsaken all RWDs after a winter spent in Switzerland with a BMW, in a house with a comically steep driveway. Thank god for Audi quattros.

The good old forecasters rarely get it right and in any case it'll all be gone the following day!

It never stays cold for long in Blighty thanks to the the Gulf stream, otherwise we'd have sub-zero temps all winter. Doesn't feel all that cold to me today, although perhaps it is as the frozen fog hasn't lifted yet.

It might of been helpfull to me if i knew how to deactivate the traction control at the time. Foot to the floor in 1st gear, still sliding backwards!

Doesn't matter what the percentage is really, thats the problem with statistical predictions, providing something isn't impossible, it can happen at any time. Explains why weather men (or women) always make mistakes

All I can add is that I hope you're all getting some grit ready. I love watching the neighbours sprinkle table salt onto the pavement outside their house, with a dumbfounded look on their face!

Nevermind, it's not brand new anymore so I won't come as such a blow.

Coming down the M6 at about 1am on saturday, thick fog and sub-zero temperatures. my single working washer jet was working overtime and when I got home the leading edges of the bonnet, bumper, grill, etc. had about 1/4 inch of ice on them! the leccy aeirel was frozen up like a bit iceicle
