Hi,

Am spending a bit of time in the US, and have been asked to a colleague's house for thanksgiving...

What should I do in the way of a gift? I was thinking a bottle for him and some chocs for her, but they have kids too. Do I need to worry about them?

A descension topic! My favourite.

You might have a bit more success here in the USA forum: www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?f=126&h=0

Id rather stay the slightly savvy clued up Brit than the over informed clone. But thanks for the idea. I have no idea about kids, might just ask the chap what they would like...

You could get the kids some sort candy that's popular in Britain but maybe uncommon in the US. Don't know what ages they are, but they'll be interested in the novelty of it.
