Just driven from Warwickshire to Maidenhead, with the targa roof off, on a gorgeous sunny day with a flat six wailing behind me and the biggest grin on my face. I know we often complain about weather and roads and other drivers etc.. But what a day, 15 miles of A roads clear visibility, plenty of overtaking, blast down the M40 almost empty, A404 no queues at island, and quick blat down the 404. Bounded into the office to see one of my Project Managers on site, bacon butty ready for me with mug of tea.
Am I mad or is that not a great start to (admittedly a working) day?

Problem is, when the day starts that well, you just know it's all gonna be downhill from there on.
Come on, get that Puma up on't moors and wring it's neck, there must be some great roads around there.
There are indeed, sadly today I shall be mostly sitting in front of this computer waiting for someone else to give me the data I need to get on with my work.

Now that sounds like a good idea.
Not mad - just a bit cold! I did the same this morning. Only problem being that the commute is nowhere near as long as yours. As I indicated to turn into the office carpark I was sorely tempted to drop a cog, slide round the roundabout and head off for a blast in the countryside.
Unfortunately I chose wrong.

Sorry I'm one of the detested ones, I've got a 20 year old 911 targa, going to a Tiv meet in meriden on sunday though, not that that really changes anything.

Thats pretty much my working day as well, at least I usually get plenty of PH time, maybe even too much sometimes...
