In thirty years of motoring, I`ve worked out that I`ve covered approximately 700,000 miles since passing my test!

Roughly 23,000 gallons of fuel - how green is that?!

Had a license 5 years and driven over 100,000 miles. (and i spent 2 years at uni without a car although I did manage to do 10,000 miles in 4 months over each summer).

I did 21,000 miles last year.

I've got Pass Plus and have completed an 8hr RideDrive course.

Whats annoying is that in the eyes of the insurance company i'm young and inexperienced!

Approx 2000 miles per week lets call that 100, 000 a year plus 6000 a year in my car.
I passed my HGV 1 when I was seventeen(forces dispensation),i'm now 41. So thats 106,000 times 24 years, I make that about 2,544,000 miles approx

I've had my licence just shy of 6 years, and if I've worked it out right, I've done about 175,000 miles now. Which isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things!

Ime trying to work on the assumption that i perhaps do 80,000 at the most in a year and as little as 50,000 with work/pleasure and even when i was doing my other jobs ide cab it in the evenings...i think ive probably done in the region of a million and a half miles at the very least.

I would hazard a guess that I have done and average of twenty miles a day. Which would be a paltry 146,000..

In a few years you won't have to calculate this stuff, the government will have it all on record.

100-odd times round the planet, roughly. Impressive!!!

The moon is about 250,000 miles away as well, so there and back 3 times as well.

Would be interesting if you could work out your average speed for the whole lot as well!

My last truck (420hp volvo fh12) told me I was averaging 40mph, even though it spent most of the time on cruise control at 56mph.
My new one tells me i'm getting 7.5mpg which means I must have done my bit for the enviroment as well(it's greener diesel).

On the trucks I was doing 65000 miles a year, roughly for 10 years. I now do about 20000 a year.
