Ok, so I'll post for a second time (not sure what happened to the first!)
Anyways, I want to but the old man a DVD player for his birthday. I want a nice one that can record, and want a multi-region thingy. Has anyone got any suggestions and an idea how much I can expect to pay for it?!

Cheers,

Chilli.

ASDA = Brilliant.

I bought a bog standard DVD player for keeping Jnr Smoke amused from ASDA, £19.50 or something like that with 12 month guarantee.

Can't be wrong. If it goes wrong it get's replaced (ASDA no quibble guarantee) after 12 months buy a new one.

Walked into Currys last Saturday and walked out with this thing after paying £119.

(Ignore the spec - it DOES have remote control, obviously.)

Works brilliantly on both playback and record.

Just have to buy a scart lead for it and off you go.

Jeez. How tight can they get? £120 down and you still have to fork out for a SCART lead?

To be honest, most of the recorders at this price don't include a scart.
