Had a really bizare thing happen to me on friday was getting off with this girl and her sister pulled off me and said I was to old for her.

Oh should add the girl in question was 22 years old.

And I am only 30 I think it was jealousy what does the PH collective reckon.

Ask the older one if she wants to 'chaperone' the two of you?

I think it would have been more bizaarre if you'd been groping her Mum when the family budgie ripped off your earlobe in an attempt to point out that her brother is a gay Rwandan vicar and disapproved of your actions. And all while you're trying to enjoy The Magic Flute at the ENO.

Her sister is jealous - simple. Age doesn't matter. Why do sisters think they know what feelings the sister may have and then tell them what they should do? Surely if the sister is happy to get off with you she should be happy too.

Today is my 40th birthday

I don't think you're too old for her. As a 16 years plus teenager I preferred older men. The spotty, immature, skinny young lads of the same age just didn't have any appeal! However, if you're planning on a long-term relationship with someone 8 years your junior, I'd be looking to trade you in for a younger model when you reached 40!

You're also running a sisters thread. I recall when I was 17 and went out with a 23 year old man. He was absolutely gorgeous but had an equally desirable 19 year old brother...

I don't have a sister so never had to contend with sibling rivalry or jealousy, but I reckon I'd be pretty annoyed if an older sister tried to dictate who I should date.

You're not too old for her at all. My parents were in a similar age situation when they first met (dad 31, mum 23) and they have now been married for over 26 years.

Hmm... although the entire thing may have only happened because my mother has no siblings

Dead right, most of my female friends are betwween 16 and 25, when women get to 25 they seem to stop clubbing and settle down, and the 16 -25 year old girls don't seem to like the spotty oiks there age.
If I sound imature tell me whats the difference between grown up and boring.
