Ever been in a BBC TV audience?
Discussion
Did TG a couple of years ago. The laughter was real for the most part, but after the 2nd or 3rd take it did become a little forced. At the start of filming they got the audience to do a chuckle, moderate and roaring laughter for the tape, so they could dub it on as required during editing.
Was a great afternoon out, would recommend it. Ticket available from Applause Store, but can be tricky to get hold of.

I went to the recording of I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue last year. It's very popular, so you have to pay good money to get a seat. However, it was top entertainment and they basically ran through a whole programme without a break, then re-recorded little bits that needed re-recording, then repeated the process so that they got two week's worth in the can. So it was more like a night out at the theatre that happened to be recorded than anything.
I reckon they probably recorded about 40mins worth of material for a 30 min show for each of them.
Edit: Sorry, just re-read the thread title. I guess my post doesn't really count as it was BBC Radio, not BBC TV.
