I certainly have my doubts as to whether she's safe on the roads, 33 years FCS!

There should be a limit to the number of tests you can take. Something like 5 strikes and thats it your not capable of driving get a bus pass.

It would keep people like this off the road. I wouldnt like to be on the same road she is on.

It'd be okay if the money being wasted here was going straight back into the roads and not into either Gordos pocket or erecting another tax scamera to catch the rest of us out!

I dont think a # strikes and your out policy is right. There are a lot of people who as youngsters are rubbish at paying attention and not acting like a twunt. However when they get to their 30's and are more sencible etc should they be denied a chance to pass a driving test?

I'd much prefer to see driving tests every 10 years. That way you would have to pass say 7 tests in your lifetime hardly a massize overhead on people but should get a lot of bad drivers off the road.

It should get a lot of bad drivers off the road, but would it really? There must be a worrying number of unlicensed and uninsured nutters out there.

Fine if they fail their test a couple of times at 17 because they cant pay attention, perhaps it would be wise for them to avoid the road until they are more sensible thus saving their three remaining strikes until they have grown up a bit.

Personally I'd modify the pass/fail test result to
Pass - rip up those L plates
No Pass - not good enough yet but shows some promise, try again
Fail, no really Fail - you'll never be good enough while you've got a hole in your a**e - here's an application form for a bus pass.

Maybe she'd have been better spending the money on cabs or her own personal chauffer .......and I think I'll be giving Cowley a wide berth. I wonder if her Insurance will be expensive ?

What's worrying is that the current lesson/test structure doesn't even teach you how to drive, it teaches you how to pass the test.

Throw enough st at a wall...
