I am after a garage, lock up really, with a power point.

Do you think I am asking too much? Where should I start looking? I am in Southend on sea.

To buy or to let? Where would the power come from in a rented garage?

I had similar problems when I was looking for my lock up.

Couldnt find one with power for love nor money.

In the end opted for cordless power tools.

You can still get through bones with them (heads can be difficult to remove) its just a bit more time consuming.

Go for at least 18v (24 volt is better still)

Dewalt offer a good quality range for the professional serial killer.

Try www.lockupgarages.co.uk/flash_home.html I had a quick search in your area and there seems to be a few available. Not sure about the power outlet though.

Good Luck!

I think it's time I went home, I read this as "Locked up with a PowerPoint" - an image of someone imprisoned until they "got that presentation done"

How about trying surveyors?
I was looking for a lock-up to build my kit in, but after contacting a local surveyor I'm now renting a very small (about 1.5 x single garage size) industrial unit. I tried all the local estate agents, the council and papers without any luck whatsoever.

Martin.

Ever thought about buying a small generator?
about £100 from B&Q should give you enough power, unless your thinking of doing high powered drilling.

No problem, it's in Shropshire so I don't know how it compares, but it's £58.75/month plus the electricity bill.
