Need to get this done at the office as we're ending the lease and the landlord has asked for one (some mods to wiring)
Local sparks wants £450+VAT
to do it
"Visual inspection of all fittings; remove and inspect wiring connections to at least 10% of fittings; check distribution boards; insulation test to phase and neutral to earth; earth loop impedance test to all circuits"
Is this a realistic figure? We have one 6-way three phase distrib board and about 4 ring mains plus an electric shutter and the usual lights etc
If it's OTT, anyone care to recommend someone near Watford that'll do it?

There will have to be 2 of them doing it so £225 per person for the day is a decent price. It probably won't take the whole day though.
You will probably be without power for most of the day. Do you charge extra for doing it out of hours otherwise you are going to lose a days work.
Make sure they are a NICEIC approved contractor.
