I'm soon to be joining the heards of backpackers in Bangkok where my round the world trip begins.
Along with the digital camera I hav'nt decided on yet, I will be taking an mp3 player. 128mb capacity, however many tracks that is. . .

I want to fill it with some really great tracks and need some inspiration from the great and diverse bunch of people on here. You're a well travelled, cultured and decent lot on here so what better place to get a wide spread of tunes to choose from.

In the list already are:
Head over heels - Tears for fears
Pure shores - All Saints
Power of goodbye - Madonna
Psyche rock - Pierre Henry
Angelica - Lamb
Resoloution - Aaliyah

Any suggestions appreciated.

Cheers
Cad

Jesus Mary & Joseph Barrells, do you think you could have done a few more?
Muchos grassy arse buddy, I shall pick a few out of that lot.

'English man in New York' is on the list for defo, which also reminds me that 'Fields of gold' will have to go on it too. Cheers Fergus.

Love of the Common People was originally sung by Marvin Gaye.

I think a few classical pieces wouldn't go amiss either - I'd suggest some Elgar or Holst.

How about a bit of opera too - Madamme Butterfly, Aida or Carmen?

128 Mb is about 25 – 30 tracks I reckon. Not a lot to keep you going on a world tour. Why not get a bigger player and put your whole collection on there? That way you just have to choose what to play rather than choose what to take.

I have a 40GB iPod which has all my CD’s and Vinyl on it. It’s about 3/5 full. Yet to do my tape cassettes.
