I have to organise our club tour for may next year and I need to get a game against a club up in Newcastle. I have a few numbers of clubs but wondered if any of you played for a team or know a club there ?

We will be staying in the Center of Newcastle so would like it to be reasonably near.

Also where would be good to go out in the town, and are there any brewery's there ?. We always do a tour of one each year where ever we go but I haven't been able to find any, if not, anything similar ?, wine tasting etc

Thanks for any help

Rockcliffe and Percy Park are in Whitley Bay/ Tynemouth. Don't know how they are doing these days, but I started playing mini rugby there in the 70's.

We actually tried to get in contact to see if they had any lower teams, but even if they don't, everybody out there pissed up trying to stay away from the forwards and just smash Johnie as late as possible would be a giggle.

The closest I ever played to Newcastle was against Goole. And it was a bloody hard game! Good club though...
