I found this :
[pic]http://users.aber.ac.uk/bbn3/PHpics/DSC00032.JPG[/pic]

Im my drawer and am trying to pair it with my phone, only problem is I have no instructions nor any idea where to get started. The only identification is that it is made by Bluetrek, but their website is less than useless.

Anyone have any ideas on how to work it?

Is there a hole on the headset for a pin or pointer? If so use a pin to press in and hold until light flashes on, then you should be able to pair it to your phone!

Thank the Lord! I cringe every time I see someone sporting one of these. I was given one of these self-important sales rep costume accessories a while back, tried it on, punched myself in the gut and hurled it in a drawer.

You might find holding one of the buttons down puts it in pairing mode. If it is made by someone you have never heard of it is likely they bought the technology from someone else under licence. If the phone asks for a pin try 0000, thats standard for jabra headsets

If the phone asks for a pin, jab it in the battery with one and let it die with dignity.

Lol,

I'm currently car-less but thought it would be nice to try and figure out how the bloody thing works. The worst thing is that people seem to be wearing them when just walking about!

this is the up to date version of the tw@t with a dodgy old mobile on his belt, with his jumper arranged so all could see he had a mobile.
when i first had a mobile i paid £1500 for it and if it ever went off in a pub,the jeering and comments like "who is the prat wit the phone?" made me feel a real idiot.bet they all have one now.cannot abide headphones of any sort. the bluetooth ones make me cringe, off to do some shopping, must put my headset on in case i cannot control my shopping trolley.
wish i could organise my life so that i could manage without one. i tried for a few months but it was too awkward.

So all the people on here flaming headsets. Ever answer the phone on the road?

I got fed up with missing jobs in the summer because I couldnt hear the agent on the speaker with the sunroof off, and couldnt pull over. I got a BT250 which is a bluetooth headset for the business market. It has a really long battery life and is reasonably tough. Nothing showy about it.

got proper hands free in the the jag, nice and quiet. in the pug, very noisy, so if they want me they can call me later.
its the guys walking round the shops and even in the pub with them on that annoy me. only thing that annoys me more is when i am up a ladder and some idiot rings up to sell me something i dont want

Handsfree is very useful if you're using the phone a lot. I know myself after 30 minutes on the phone, my arm is getting a bit fed up!

i agree espically when your driving; otherwise it will stay in the drawer or car (when needed).

I use one when in the car. Works brilliantly. I spend a lot of time on the road, so vital if I don't want to miss out on work.

I have tried the car kits and the wired headsets - waste of time. Even considered having a bluetooth kit installed at great expense. Then saw the light. Phone sits in holder on dash, Motorola bt handsfree on lanyard round neck. If the phone rings I can answer it.

Also useful when getting "tech support" from brother/dad when working on car and hands are greasy
