As title really. I think the element is hidden in the floor of the oven and I'm pretty sure it's gone as the oven comes on with the light and fan but doesn't heat up.

Element only costs around £30 so am willing to give it a try.

Anyone done it?

Thanks in advance.

Rob.

No, but I thought I had the same problem with my oven when I first moved in here. I thought the element was dead as the fan and oven light were on, but it wasn't getting warm. Took a better look at it and the timer was in the 'turn the oven off' position, looks like it just disables the element and not the fan etc. Felt a bit stupid as I'd thought it was broken for a week or so Least I hadn't got a new element and tried to fix it though.

Yes was a simple job bit fiddly.

Element was a circular one which surrounded the fan positioned behind panel at rear of oven.

Just a matter of removing a few self tappers to remove self cleaning shielding and what have you, element exposed. Fairly obvious after that.

Yes I did it a few months ago, nice and simple. Ok I'm an electronic engineer and know my way around a tool set, but just take your time, see where everything goes before you take it apart and you'll be fine.

Just to say that I finally got my backside into gear and ordered the element.

Changed it last night and now the ovens working fine - pizza here we come! Was a relatively easy operation and only cost me 23 quid for the part inc. delivery.

Thanks all.
