Everyone looking forward to the trick or treaters?

I heard a goodun on the radio a minute ago - get some tinned spaghetti and add red food colouring and chop it up a bit - put all the sweets into that and see how much the really want them!
Alternatively... Chocolate coat something nasty and give it out! What you use it up to you and your conscience

Scotch Bonnet peppers is a good one, if you've got any left over after tonight I'll take them off your hands too
ETA
Preferably a good quality Belgian dark chocolate, say 80% cocoa butter.

I'll never forget Halloween 1996.
Me and a mate were at home and the doorbell started ringing pretty soon after we got home.
The first few kids got a £1 each as we catastrophically underestimated the sheer volume of trick or treaters. We shortly ran out of cash.
A quick raid of the kitchen cupboards came up with various health bars, the odd fun size mars bar and packet of mints etc.
This kept us going for another hour or so.
When the cupboards were entirely bare we got a couple of kids who were really rather sweet, rather than send them home empty handed and upset them my house mate gave them all he could muster, a can of rice puddings (because all kids like that, right). I was in the lounge in tears as these well brought up children said thank you, looked a little puzzled and left.
I would have loved to see their parents faces on presentation of the evening spoils.
