after considering a move to Woking, i am now looking at Epsom... any comments from those who have lived around there? Not a big fan of the Derby or a user of Epsom Salts but it seems like a bit of the countryside but accessible from London/A3/M25.

Guildford is a bit too far for me to commute to London though i'd like to settle there one day -
as mentioned before, i think Esher/Cobham etc. are a bit too pricey for what you get IMHO

P.S. what happened to the chap who was looking to move Woking from New Malden a few months back - did he eventually find a place.

I can tell you that Bookham and Dorking are pretty dull. Epsom's alright though.

Guildford's not far from London - it takes the same time from Guildford as Dorking on the train and it's quicker to get on to the A3 from Guildford.

If you're thinking of Guildford, now is a good time to look as prices have come down. Won't be long before they're shooting back up again though.
