If you see Gary Sinise, I'd get worried.....

If you see Hill Harper, I'd be really worried.......

I'm a big fan of the Guggenheim. Also the Flatiron building's worth a saunter past if you like crazy architecture. The Chrysler, of course. Just take it all in from Central park. Nowhere else like it that i've seen.

There's a great air museum on the USS Franklin (I think) aircraft carrier, permantly moored in the harbour.

Don't forget to take a stroll down to ground zero. It's an eery experience.

If you have Google Earth, Manhattan Island is one of the default places to see.

NB: I see some people have added their own 'i' points - how do you do that then?

Just noticed that for the first time. Dunno, I just have my "points of interest", there must be a way to register points of info on the web site or something.

Save some time for just walking round Manhattan, so much of what makes New York is the atmosphere coming off the streets. If you fancy a great run, head over to the west waters edge of Manhattan from about 15th street. You can run all the way down to Battery Park along a great pedestrian area with acrobats, tennis courts and incredible yachts (Ellen's was there when I was last there) on your journey. Fantastic lycra-clad totty too.

Norma's in Le parkour Meridian is famed for doing the best omelettes in New York (they have one for $1,000) and Greenwich village/soho are definitely the places to hang out if you like your nightlife eclectic and vibrant.

Guggenheim has fantastic picasso and kandinsky.
