I dont know why but the new blue lighting they are using on emergency vehicles doesnt agree with my eyes and after a few seconds i have to look away which is pretty dificult when they are up in front of you.
Its like i get a real headachy feeling coming on from the glare and a feeling of stress?,anyone else finding this?

Safety first! lets blind the motorists, thus causing crashes, thus creating blackspots, thus enabling gatsos to be erected, thus creating more money to pay for more flashy lights.....

I heard on the radio that 62 people have died in the last year in this county... 62... not a great deal really. More probably go with cancer, suicide, etc....

I find they do ,they are almost like a strobe effect and a very fluorescent blue and i wonder if they affect those that suffer from epilepsy.
Ime gonna put some sun glass's on the dash and do a Ray charles when ones in front next time, then crash when it goes dark thus creating another blackspot for even more gatsos.

The ambulances around here seem to have lights that are more indigo than blue, you can see them for miles and miles, very good.

And the 'wheewhee' sound is brilliantly non-directional, so you have no idea which direction it's coming from.

You can normally tell if it is coming to you, or away from you.... That doppler effect thingy.

Unless it's in a city doing 15mph trying to dodge the muppets who have no idea about getting out of the way.

Thats a point do they create seizures? and if so perhaps they should carry a warning. But I belive they are random(ish) to stop this. Am I correct?

Was listening to a German health "expert" the other day speaking on the bird flu thing. He commented that "Flu" kills more people in the EU than road accidents....MMmmmh! Maybe we need: "Flu Cameras" and "Flu Safety Partnerships"....?

People with epilepsy cannot drive due to their licence being revoked cos they are uninsurable. If you have or are beleived to have had any form of epilepsy, convulsion or fit, it is nigh on impossible to keep your licence..

I know of an unfortunate chap who fell down in the street and banged his head, a do-gooder first aider stayed with him till the ambulance arrived then told the ambulance man, "I think he had an epileptic fit as he was shaking"... end result? Ambulance man passed the same information on to the A&E department, the note was recorded on his record and then said person was revoked his license for a minimum two year period and is still waiting, pending further tests. Two and a half years later he still doesn't have a license because no doctor wants to commit themselves and say that he is fit to drive if there is the possibility he may have an accident due to a re-occurring fit

All tests undertaken were negative btw.

Now that is very very scary. Further ramifications exist when applying for a new job as your medical records would also have this information on and most employers wouldn't touch an employee with this alleged condition with a very long stick.
