Good Model shops about.
Discussion
Anyone know of any good model shops around,i am mainly into fairground scenes,i dont mind traveling.
I found a great little one over at Crawley yesterday and the guy makes some of his own kits out of white metal.
He makes anything from trains, boats, buildings, vehicles etc a very helpful and good service. www.langleymodels.co.uk
All these kits are made from metal that you paint, solder or glue.

I've never met anyone who admitted being into that particular niche before. My father used to restore Fairground Organs (
etc) and Showmans Road Locomotives - you see that "Quo Vadis"? He did that, in 1972. It's been around the block a few times since though - repainted several times. Anyway, I've inherited a couple of Ambrico whitemetal Road Locomotives he built up to quite exacting standards, and here they sit, on a shelf, next to my desk.

I want to build a scene about the size of a model railway based on the funfair i used to see as a kid and have something to pass down through generations from this era.
I thought it was quite an isolated interest but after visiting the model shop yesterday and findin some imformation ive found it to be quite a growing niche.
There's a model shop in Haywards Heath:

I don't know if they stock what you're after, but maybe worth a try.
Be quick though, they're closing down on 29 October.
