you fill in the rest.............

I wasn't going to post this as it seems a bit far fetched (especially as it is the second time this sort of thing has happened to me)

But anyway, here goes. Truth is stranger than fiction.

Came out of the cinema with a mate and our birds, we start getting into his Brand new golf GTI (nice car BTW, DSG, Sat nav etc...)

all of a sudden, there is a chap in a balaclava and a gun at the drivers door telling my mate to give him the keys, mate tells him where to go, i get out, crim getting more insistent, mate does one avec keys, i decide in my head that the gun is a fake due to the fact that he would have used it by now if he was going to, so i take a swing at him, but he is already running back to the (stolen) CTR they waited for us in. you will notice i said "they", there were 2 of them, i hadn't even noticed the second one as he was at the passenger door and rather unsurprisingly i had my concentration on the guy at the drivers door.

I tell thee, i must have a crim pheromone or something.

as any vaguely intelligent bipedal mammal will know you dont look hard at all perfrming fresh-air swings after an assailant has run away.
Bet your "birds" were soooo proud of their hard man.

outside the cinema stupid

sheesh

and yes, you are right to pisstake the punch, it sounds lamer than it was, basically where we were standing (by mate's car)i ended up right by the bloke as we both watched matey leg it, i wanted to get one in before the bloke looked back so i just swung to my right rithout aiming (death or glory if you will - but in a literal sense on this occasion) by the time my body had turned i noticed that the bloke was already 4-5' away and running.

ps. serious answer to a perfectly sensible question: Rubery, Birmingham

So by picturing the scene here I deduce the following:

You were cowering with your back turned then you spun round to slap him (left handed) when you noticed he had gone.

If you didn't have your back turned you'd have known he wasn't there.

Fair play to your mate running off with the keys though - unless "You can have the bird, but you can't have my motor!" was echoing round the car park, in which case he's in uncharted territory because I don't think the sliding scale of penance vs presents goes that far.

This implies banter.
Not so much pisstake as total and utter disbelief.
If any of its true (which is gravely doubtfull) then I dont believe for a minute that a) youre mates enough of a to run away and leave all of you and b)that youre thick enough to try to slap/pinch a man with a potentially real gun.
"the truth is sometimes stranger than fiction"according to you. What a bag of bo11ox.
Fiction=fiction and this was a pretty poor effort.
