Daft triathons
Discussion
This idea came about when I was watching TV with my ageing and slightly Alzheimic mother today.
The Chinese GP had just ended and I switched over to BBC2 to see some snooker. Dear mum thinks it's the same people - who have presumably now drunk the champagne, changed out of their sweaty overalls and gone off to play snooker... :)
So after explaining that this was a different sport, on a different channel, in a different country, with totally different people, I then thought it could be part of a daft triathon... for example:
20 laps in a Formula 1 car
1 frame of snooker
Pole vault competition
What daft triathlon would you suggest?

They were streaming the Kona Ironman last night, it was absolutely phenomenal. Winner did it in 8hrs 14mins or so, but the great thing is because you have all the age groups you have 70year olds doing the course and making you realise that becoming frail and doddering in your later years is as much a choice as it is a destiny.

The "real" sport of Biathlon is particularly tough. Cross country skiing, with rifle shooting along the way. Very hard to keep a good aim whilst breathing heavily from the skiing.
Add the 10 pints of guiness before hand and make it long distance ice skating instead of skiing, now that that would be a test
