I've got part of the top two floors of an old house, converted into a modern appartment, with cranky neighbours below who dont appreciate the noise we make in the wee hours :o

After the third complaint in my pidgeon hole, we decided to buy them some chocolates and a card :) which reads: (I added in the bold text)

With Our Sympathy

May it comfort you to know
that we are so very sorry
to hear of your loss of sleep

You're in our thoughts,
Now and in the days to come.
Especially at night when the make the most noise.

I hope they see the lighter side of the card :hehe:

How would you react?

A grand idea. A few drinks, and we could both talk TVR till dawn

(We really are trying to keep the noise down. Unlike some noisy neighbours, we do care )

Like the urban myth when a bloke rings his mate at 3am and asks if he wants to buy a battleship.

His mate rings him back at 4.30 and asks how much?

Who, 2SB?

If he was, Id imagine our street would be deserted (or our driveways empty!)

Best of luck Bob. I'd probably call the environmental health on you.

Don't keep people awake by being noisy after about 11pm.

They have a right to sleep, just as you do.

Just my thoughts....

We're not that bad. Moreover we care (genuinely). And its been 3 complaints in 2 years which doesnt seem too bad. Besides, we're all young

We're neighbours who occasionally get a little too drunk, not neighbours from hell The decent sort

You dont specify exactly what sort of noises youre making in the wee hours. (unless your Scottish and moaning & groaning about your crap f'ball team)
Or you could be playing Iron Maiden or the likes too loud(tho this is technically impossible).
Rusty bed springs prehaps?(you wish)
Huge rows with significant other half?
So C'mon, what you up to???

Bob, if they start banging on the walls, just do what I do: spark up an angle grinder at 11PM; drowns out all manner of racket
