Trick or treat - this year I get even!
Discussion
Last year, for about two weeks leading up to halloween, every night we had an endless stream of low-knuckled chavs asking for sweets. This year it ends!
My son and I, much to the wife's disapproval, are going to have the hosepipe pointing out of the letterbox. He's going to tell me when they approach the door. The moment they ring the bell they're gonna be getting a few gallons of South West's Water's finest.

Afraid its what I do too (not hide...lights off at the front and watch TV at the back of the house) on Halloween sometimes...
Room for two under that paperbag?

Eggs can be a real pain in the a$$ to clean off your house though.
True, the little fekkers got our house on the last 2 halloweens - AND we'd given them sweets (which is a bit rich at 15/16).... this year we are waiting in a neighbours house with our own supply of eggs - it's the only way, eye for an eye n all that!

I just posted a sign on my front door, which reads "NO TRICK OR TREATERS"
For the benefit of anyone who ignores this sign, or for the second lot who ring the doorbell after the first lot steal the sign, I prepared this handy 'leaflet':MisanthropicZee said:
Why no Trick or Treaters??
It is my belief that:
1) Children should not be encouraged to believe that the world owes them anything – even sweets. Moreover, it is wrong for children to be taught that they have the right to demand something for nothing and back up their demand with threats of retribution, however petty.
2) Unsupervised kids who demand free stuff with menaces have ruined it for the more responsible parents and children who are trying to engage in what should be a harmless tradition. Any spirit of fun once associated with this event is regrettably a distant memory.
3) In truth, Halloween is a malevolent religious festival, which has no place or relevance in British culture unless you are a pagan or a devil worshipper.
You may feel I am mean spirited for the position I am taking on this matter and you’re entitled to hold that opinion. Nonetheless, I am equally entitled to not entertain this event and to protect my peace and property from the potential mischief and damage that frequently occurs on Halloween.
The above notwithstanding, have a good evening and please respect the wishes of others who may choose not to participate in this event.
I have a second one, but the target audience might not be able to read it. It says, "Fk off you P
i
y C
t!"
Cracked me up then, still does now.

I just arrange to be out that night.
Luckly I have a garage, the things you see done to cars the following day is terrible, eggs, flower, plant that have been ripped out of the ground
