The government's chief auditor has refused to approve the Inland Revenue's own accounts because of massive discrepencies - mainly due to problems with the Tax Credit system.

This is going to be BIG

I reckon either Gordon Brown or Dawn Primorolo will have to resign over this.

How I hope you're right. Can never be sure with this bunch of eels though... and even when they've resigned, they just slither back, like Mandelson and Blunkett...

In the most recent edition of "Taxation" magazine (beats "Heat" into a cocked hat ), the Inland Revenue have admitted that they do not have the resources to carry out as many tax investigations and enquiries as they would like at the moment due to the fact that they have had to transfer so many of their staff to the Tax Credit division of their operations.

Watching the Inland Revenue collapse under the weight of all the additional work they've brought upon themselves is SOOOOOO satisfying.

I am.....

What really pses me off most about here is that she never paid the Poll Tax, because she considered it unfair, and she was never made to pay up...

Don't get your hopes up.

Labour minister don't tend to resign due to their manifest incompetence.

If they did there wouldn't be any left.
