Today I had a fantastic drive to work......
Discussion
Last night I burned a CD with some groovy soundtracks to make the drive to work a bit more exciting.
So at 8.00am I fired up my nine year old BMW 328 and set off to work.
Track 1 was The Professionals by Laurie Johnson and the old BMW was transformed into Bodie's 3.0 Litre Capri for a bit of sideways action.
Track 2 was Bullitt by Lalo Shifrin and suddenly I was gunning a big Mustang.
Track 3 was the theme from On Her Majesty's Secret Service by John Barry and I found myself behind the wheel of a big Aston.
Track 4 was back to Laurie Johnson, this time for The New Avengers. Hmm, Broadspeed Jag, XJS or Bentley...
Track 5 was Steppenwolf's Born To Be Wild and I was Easy Rider on an old Harley.
Track 6 was The First Lap from Le Mans, and I was howling along in a Porsche with Michel Legrand's funky jazz in the background.
Track 7 calmed things down with Matt Munro crooning On Days Like These and I was behind the wheel of a Miura.
Track 8 was similarly chilled as Herbie Hancock's Bring Down The Birds had me in the huge Roller out of Blow Up.
Track 9 was more Lalo Schifrin, this time the theme from Dirty Harry and I was back in San Francisco.
Track 10 was Ron Goodwin's Battle of Britain and suddenly I was in the cockpit of a Bf109, dodging Spitfires over the South Coast.
Track 11 was more John Barry, and I found myself in the more familiar surroundings of a white Esprit.
Track 12 finally rounded things off with a train ride courtesy of Roy Budd's title track from Get Carter.
Now its time to go home and do it all over again.
I just love a thumping good soundtrack.....
Cheers :drink:

AiD1 said:I only got half way through by the time I arrived at work, but then I was called out to Warrington, so managed to get the lot in.
You managed to listen to all those tracks on your way to work!? Must be a long commute!
I never thought I'd be pleased to have to go to Warrington...
