Thanks for that, Is the memorial on flat ground or sloping like the chalk figures of old? The air-bourne shot wasn't clear on this. That is....is the excellent propellor monument visable from a ground locatation?.........
I watched this last night and felt nothing but admiration and respect for those guys.
Then i remembered the treatment of Walter Wolfgang.
And felt nothing but contempt and hatred for our traitorous "leaders".
All the people who died fighting the Nazi's basically died for nought because 60 years after the end of the worlds fight for freedom from tyranny and oppression, that very same brand of tyranny and oppression is alive and kicking in Tony Bliars Labour Nazi Party.
Its a bad day for us all as we sit here looking through the letterbox, waiting for Bliars Brownshirts to kick the door in and take us away, one by screaming one.

I admit that the reaction at the party conference was uncalled for, but is not your reaction also a bit over the top?
Don't forget that this government has funded some lavish celebrations of the deeds of those who fought in WW2 - including the new impressive Battle of Britain Memorial in London.
Not that I particularly want to lavish any particular praise to Blair and his cohorts - they probably upset me just as they probably upset you.

Understatement of the century Eric! Does it not illustrate my point perfectly?

Not at all Eric, and heres the reason why: Respect for ones elders and betters, pure and simple.
Bliars lot have NO respect for anyone or anything, thats the difference between me and them (and us).

Yes well thats all inspired by PCness, its "the" thing to be seen to do. Gestures with no substance and no feelings at all behind it.
Its a token gesture.
Rather than spend the money on the people still alive and ensuring THEY can live a comfortable, safe existence for their remaining days, instead of being banged away in some care home for the old and decrepit, nah we'll spend it on a "nice" memorial designed by some fashionable "artist" to "show our appreciation".
They make me puke. Traitors, the lot of them.

Oh yes, of that you have no idea my friend.

The memorial itself is on flat ground and you can walk around it, there is also a small Museum in Shoreham just outside Otford in Kent that has loads of Battle of Britain memorabilia.

The fact that the (bar)steward involved with the ejection of Mr Wolfgang is a freelance wheel clamper says it all really.

DF - it seems in your world that, if Labour do anything "good", it's only because they are pandering to populism and political correctness and if they do anything bad, well, that is just typical Labour.
Heads they lose, tails they lose.
(You could, of course, be absolutely correct)
So, my well balanced (and reasonable chum
) Until its proven otherwise to me...... Ps. I voted for them the first time....now ive seen through the BS veneer, the spin, the hypocrisy, the outright lies, the bullying, and stamping on the rights of others, ill remain very unconvinced of their "benevolence".

It's near Sevenoaks not Brighton, a different one.
