Not too sure where to post this but since I only watch motoring programmes.....

Need to re route my Sat TV cable 'cos of a forthcoming extension to the house.
Can I take it to an existing but redundant splitter/amp in the loft and then feed more than one satellite box in seperate rooms, watching/taping more than one channel at a time?

Also can I use a redundant old TV arial for FM radio and how would I wire that up, I live in an area of poor radio reception when using the built in/on radio arial although the one in the car works reasonably well
Thanks everyone

No, if you want to run several different satellite decoders then you will need a separate feed from the LNB (box attached to the dish) for each decoder AND a separate viewing card for each decoder. For example, when you get Sky+ they supply you with a 4-way LNB which can feed 4 separate boxes. But without the viewing card, the extra boxes are useless. Sky do offer a "multiroom" package for something like £10 per month per additional box.

A TV aerial will pick up FM, but nothing like as well as a proper FM aerial.
