Just heard the coments of Trevor Philips.

Looking at my address book most of my friends are Jewish or Scottish and either work in the motorsport, media or financial services industry.

Can only think of one or to black friends I have and one part Indian girl.

At my girlfriend's house the other day we had us (English), an Indian lady, a Swiss lady, a Portuguese lady and a Jamaican lady. All friend's or colleagues of my girlfriend's.

I have one friend who was a Bosnian Muslim and another who was a bhuddist nun (for a couple of years anyway...) and few in between.

I have plenty of multi racial enemies as well

Is there anywhere in the UK where you can go and live and actually find there is no-one of another "ethnic" group around?

Me, I live on a suburban estate filled with English people in England. But they all live next to me and I'm not actually English - despite (mostly) loving it here.

I make friends based on likes, dislikes, humour, common stuff, but not skin colour.

If racial segregation is happening, who do we blame? The idealists who invited them to start with?
The weaklings who will not deal with immigration?
The white people for calling them names?
The coloured people for making ghettos?
Cherie Blair for allowing children to go to school wearing bedsheets?

Or is Trevor Philips just pouring petrol on the fire to justify his job, get a headline and get more money? The more you bang on about racism, the bigger it become.

My solution would be to make schools strictly non-religious, as in France. No religious teaching, no pandering to bedsheet wearers - just education.

Darkies lol, haven't heard that word for a while.

I grew up in North Scotland where the racial mix was almost 99.99% White, but there was a local clothes shop, run by I think Indians, which was known by everyone as 'The Darkies'.

Freely in use without a moment's thought.

Imagine my surprise when the first time I saw the shop the sign didn't say 'The Darkies' on it

Erm, whats he said then (as usually when this clown appears on the TV I have a pressing need to turn over & watch the test-card).

Well said, same here

All my friends are of a different racial group. They are white. But that doesn't concern me. As long as we get on all is good.

I sometimes get the feeling that if people like Trevor Phillips actually shutup we'd all just get along happily without them, but of course if there was no 'ugent race issue' people like Trevor and his team would be out of a job wouldn't they?

I can remember the last time I actually saw a black person (afro-carribean).
Asians now and again.
Hardly surprising all my friends are white really.

Ooo...does the missus count as a friend?

Agree with both comments. There are plenty of nice people of all races, and plenty of w*nkers too. What matters is the goodness you see in somebody, not the external colour etc. When I mention a friend, I don't mention their name, followed by 'he's a black guy/gay guy/white guy', they're just a friend and to be honest, you don't really even notice their colour/origin, they're just your friend.

Christ not that old chestnut.

Just because something is aimed at a particular sector of society does not make it racist.

If the MOBO awards are racist then mahabarat and kabbadi on a sunday morning are too.

Except of course they arent because its not done at the exclusion or detriment of others.

The more that the nanny state and media make a 'special case' of coloured people and seem to make them more important than whites, that doesn't exactly help. Can you imagine a special TV programme for white people?

I was at a conference last week where a delegate told me he'd once been asked to leave after asking for a black coffee. When he asked how he was supposed to ask for coffee that happened to be black in colour, he was told to ask for 'coffee without milk'. FFS

THAT is exactly the kind of thing that whips up silly racism - and it always comes from socialists.
