I really despair!

Dont expect Derestrictor style eloquence on here from me, but I would like to share with you a quick tale..
5 months ago A tenant in a flat I own was informing me they did not wan to renew the agreement. No problem i thought, the flat is an instant let for anyone that views it.
Well date for me to retake posession approached and I was disturbed by a call from the letting agent..
It seems that the person whom had been living there had sublet the place without my consent for a 12 MONTH PERIOD... Taking a deposit and rent from the unsuspecting new sub-lettee.. They then had a flat sale, sold lots of the items in the flat belonging to me and bugg3ed off.
The new tenant, was advised not to move in but decided to anyway..
This person has illegaly "Squatted" in my flat for nearly 5 months wrecking it, the law is a complete a4se as I have to jump through endless hoops to remove the b1nt. I have been threateed with arrest and the local council have even threatened me if i took any action.. The girl has lied repeatedly saying that she had a valid agreement etc...
To make matters worse part of the cental heating has leaked and we have been unable to legally gain access for an extended period to resolve, the flat downstairs is wrecked......
So last week I managed to retake possession..... and what do i find but huge amounts of evidence of all sorts of wrong doing, benefit fraud, mail theft and other fraud. I have called the old bill and those out of pocket and not one of them is interested in pursuing the culprit.
I am stunned that there are absolutely no consequenses to any of this persons actions
Ps I also found the largest D1!do i have ever seen and some very extreme DVD's relating to Bodily functions which was nice.

sorry to hear of your plight rich.
with regards to scum who see fit to live in your property, trash it and pay no rent the law is indeed an arse.
I would also consider replacing the glass coffee table from the lounge as part of the refit.
