Ebay and train tickets

Not wanting to waste a return ticket that I ended up using, I stuck it on ebay. Hell, someone might use it, right?

Exciting it is not. I also failed to spot the "Once purchased you cannot resell a ticket should you choose not to use it"
Anybody know anything about this area? I'm bemused...
