I've been offered a free Blackberry 7290 on O2 with wit 50 mins free calls per month, 25 free texts and 5megabytes for £30pm

I've also been offered a free Blackberry 7290 on Vodafone with 200 mins free calls, 500 texts but only 2.5 megabyte for £30pm

Any advice or opinions on which one to go with.

Thanks,

Phill

go for either, but do it now: once they go out of season, they taste awful. even in pies.

can't help with the two options, but do you really need a blackberry ?. I have one and as a way to access emails it is good, as a phone it is poor.

simple, if you need it for talking, as per say a mobile phone, go with the minutes and texts, if you need it for surfing the web and emails, ala computer, go for the megabytes option

I've got a work mobile which I use most of the time, the reason I want a blackberry is for checking traffic, trains, phone numbers, pistonheads etc on the move.

I was mainly wondering if the phone performed better on either of the networks?

Thanks,

Phill

Also, any advice whether I go for a 7290 or 7100?

Thanks,

Phill

check the nokia 9300 before buying a blackberry.

i have a couple of friends who have both and they are fractionally leaning towards the nokia.

On o2 1mb costs £2.35 I assume the others are about the same, so I would go for more minutes and sms. The extra data will be about 6 credits, the extra mins and sms a bit more...

Ive recently got an SPV M500 from Orange. 200 mins and 500 texts for 30 quid with a 4MB bundle added for an extra 4 quid. Looks great, touch screen, has got Windows so comes with Internet Explorer. You can also buy a Wi-fi card so you can supposedly surf the net if you can find hot spots (not very clued up about that feature though). As a phone its pretty decent too.

When someone sends me an email, I get a text notification and I can then download when I want to.

Personally, I think it's pretty spanking and I'd forget my head without the reminders feature. Ive also got a movie on an SD card so can sit and watch it on the bus or listen to an album or two.

It was free for me as an upgrade but you might have to pay for it as a new customer. O2 and Vodaphone were offering a similar model and for a while there Voda were offering it for free. I also think Vodaphone were doing an offer on sat nav software that you can install on it as well.

This all might confuse matters for ya now but I can still remember when a phone was just a phone! haha

Best of luck

I'd using it for breathing but not for blowing up ballons..... you've got to have some principles!
