Have you seen these weird weekends stuff by Louis Theroux?? I saw the Jackson document he made, he didn´t actually meet Jacko in person but even that programme was a bit disturbing. What do you think of these other stuff his made?

He's a shy geek who somehow seems to win people over with his - er - shy geekiness. His prog with Jimmy Saville was quite squirm-making, a mixture of respect interespersed with awkward questions. Somehow watchable - in a shy, geeky sort of way...

Brilliant just about sums it up for me.

His whole approach is to give them enough rope and watch them hang themselves. Works very well with Americans for some reason.

MJ wasn't the best-porn and KKK where much better.

I am sure I watched one of his shows where he trailed a bunch of hardcore wrestlers around for a while. These guys were total loons, who thought nothing of wrapping themselves in barbed wire before a bout!

I thought he was good. He seemed to ask questions that many others wouldn't manage to, because he seems to 'nice' his way into their affections. The Jimmy Saville one was a bit disturbing. Jimmy seems to be quite an odd bloke! (Might be different in real life though, the marvels of editing, etc).

Yesterday I saw this eppy and it really shocked me totally. Have you seen this one?

Louis And The Nazis
Louis Theroux meets committed Nazis in California – trying to get a laugh or two and expose their horrendousness in his gentle way. At a neo-Nazi rally, he meets April Gaede, proud mother of 11-year-old daughters Lamb and Lynx who entertain the skinhead crowd by singing racist songs. Louis also tries to unravel the contradictory life of extreme racist Tom Metzger, founder of White Aryan Resistance, and gets into an argument with skinhead couple Skip and Heather.

Loved the American one he did visting some backwater in the arse end of nowhere.

The town was full of fundamental christians who were all stocking up for the Apocolypse..

He did an interview with the local Sherif and they got taking about British Comedy. The got on to 'Are you being served' - Slocum's pussey and all that.

Anyway, Louis starts trying to get the Sheriff to say 'I'm free', and the guy just flately refused, saying that even though he liked the program he would change Channel at this point as he didn't want it corrupting his daughter.

Priceless TV. I think Louis is extremely brave, he's either so innocent that he can't see just how close some of these people must be getting to killing him or he's got balls of iron. I reccon the latter, the guy is a legend.

His weird weekends are quality...I thought porn and wrestling were the best ones, although the one female bodybuilders was pretty funny/scary/amusing/entertaining too...

I've seen them all apart from the Jackson one.

Best ones are when he goes to the US and tries his hand at Demolition Derby, classic.

Also when he goes to SA and meets Eugene Terreblanche and gets a pasting from him.

Highly recommended.

The UFO one, where he somehow convinces the cattle mutilation researcher to give him a guitar, get out his Casio keyboard and do a duet of "Space Oddity" with him...!

The one he did with that posh talking lispy boxer fella was pretty top too.

'specially when they get the gloves on and Louis' shitting himself incase he gets punched back.

Although highly principled, the fella did come across as being a bit of a tt.

The Jackson storyline was tied up to the big scandal what we saw on tv months ago. Apparently the big interview wasn´t given to Theroux so he made his own story.
