I have to travel over to Turin, Italy next month, but have just noticed my UK passport expires on the 16th Jan. 2006. I have noticed that some countries require a minimum of 6 months left on your passport from the date you arrive back to the UK!
Does this still apply, as no other country other than the UK actally look at the passports?

Cheers

Chris

Should be OK for travel in the EU. I doubt anyone will even want to look at it for immigration.

Yeah you would think they woulnd´t look at your passport anymore but I´m afraid they do that in several European countries still even you would have ID to prove your identity. You might want to check that out so you wont get any problems.

You did so Italy so sorry mentioned US. Best to be on safe side & get yourself down to UKPA Peterborough or London with proof of travel docs (tickets etc). You'll probably have to wait in a queue for a few hours. Someone else can do this for you though. You don't have to be in person so long as all docs are in order & person there has your authority. Wouldn't rely on the post with only a month to go.

It's not just immigration in Turin you've got to think about. The carrier out of the UK may decline travel. Jobs worths.

It will be fine. If anybody challenges you tell them a bloke on Pistonheads said was OK.

Alternatively, have a look on the Italian Embassy website.
