Obviously came out as a result of last nights incident where he sarcastically "clapped" his hands in front of the Ref for giving him a yellow card.

When even Sir Alex doesnt try to defend you, you know your in the proverbial.

As for his annoying girlfriend..........Jesus.....but thats another Thread.

Dont for get he is only young and also always in the limelight,if ever he has a tantrum its always going to be highlighted and in reality might just have as many dummy spats as us,having said that he needs to learn respect and in hindsight probably should of stayed at Everton where David Moyes had the measure of him.

The guy should know better. Just because he is young, (I think we all had manners, and knew how to act at that age), and very good at his job, he seems to think he can get away with having a really bad temper. No-one else in football is quite as bad as young wayne. Cheats, yup, unsporting, yup, but have a temper tantrum problem like Wayne? I think not. The guy has shown in last nights match, and the match V NI, that the guy needs to chill out. The guy is a complete prick, (he started at my team remember), and needs to kurb it.

We'd rather have the 27 million thanks! he never really played that well for us anyway. Its only his boyhood club after all!

Still makes him an idiot in my book. He knows that the refs word is final, he knows that the world watch him... no excuse to lose your temper. Ill-educated or not, there is no excuse for that.

I think the only answer is you need to swap managers

Possibly true. Still an idiot - when did reacting to a booking ever have a positive effect. The first booking may have been soft, the second, and red card, were well deserved.

ETA - comedy sending off when Gazza was at Rangers. He'd been booked, and later in thegame, the ref dropped his yellow card at one end of the pitch. Gazza picked it up, went up to the ref, and 'booked' him - the ref took the card, and immediately showed it back - and then red...

Tonker.

Have to disagree with you. On an all too regular basis people, from my Manager (not football I hasten to add), to Judges at Court & the Solicitors I deal with on a day to day basis do indeed cock things up for me.

My response ? Well put it this way I certainly dont stand 2 inches in front of their face, shouting at the top of my voice, covering them in spittle & question their parentage & their propensity to indulge in the more intimate & solo of male pleasures.

The reason is quite simple, I would never EVER work in Insurance again & as I dont fancy losing my home, I, doubtless like many others, have learnt to bite my lip. Its called restraint & Rooney would do well to learn this (when he is ofcourse able to read) before he either ruins his career or in the alternative says something to the wrong man 1 night in a bar & gets his legs broken.

Am actually glad that the buffoon got sent off last night, rather he realises the error of his ways with Man U (some hope) than the national team in the quarter finals of the World Cup.

I wondered what time of the day this shit would appear.

There's been threads about Rooney in the past - why not just add to them?

So boring going on about the lad.

What I can't believe is that there has never, ever, ever been a single thread with the title 'Viera'. WHY NOT.

He got sent off last night too. BUT he's 29. Worse discipline record I think I know.

Get off Rooneys back you United/England/Good Player haters. You make me sick with your snyde remarks everytime the boy hits a part of his learning curve.

Bollocks.

He's an overpaid, juvernile, little tw@t.

He's should wakeup, realise how fortunate he is getting paid buckets and grow up. I don't care about this "Oh , he's just a kid" sh*t....

If he wasn't half good at football, he'd be stealing hubcaps in Liverpool.

Erm.. Don't read if you are fed up with Rooney posts. I never saw Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, etc, having these little hissy fits, and they were all young, and having learning curves in the top division. The more people like you defend these idiots, and their prima-donna behaviour, the more it will become acceptable. he has a learning curve. No excuse to petulance if you ask me.
He is a good player, no one said he wasn't. Cahill is a good player, yet he doesn't run around being impetulent. Nor does james Vaughn. nor does james Milner. Any other job on the planet would have you sacked for that sort of behaviour, yet you seem to think it is acceptable. YOUR attitude makes me sicjk. he playes football, and is a world class player, so he can get away with this type of thing? i think not.
