Should banking institutions release predicted property......
Discussion
....increases or decreases in value by regions?
EG, the Halifax released figures last week predicting falls in values for some areas and rises in others.
A few examples:
South East - 4%
London - 4%
Scotland + 10%
I wouldn`t go so far as to say these figures could manipulate values and buyers decisions to move to new areas, but I do feel it could influence decisions to a small degree.
What do you think?

I doubt amyone is guided by such figures. There will be aother lending institution along in a minute who will say something completely different. I think their figures are based only on the anount of business they do themselves. When they are all singing the same song is the time to worry imho!
