A feat that I previously thought to be on a level with finding Atlantis or creating a perpetual motion machine. BBC news dumbing-down? Surely not!

Her and that Dermot fella are very reminiscent of the character played by Steve Carell (BRICK TAMLAND) in Anchorman ie. An intelligent looking weatherman who's actually thick as pig $hit.

"Hi, I'm Brick Tamland. People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 48 and am what some people call mentally retarded."

Those of us who watch Breakfast TV in London also suffer from the three mooses (moose?, moosai?) who do the traffic on BBC London i.e Jules "I have the lankest hair in show business" Wilson, Nicola "I really wish I was Bjork" Beswick (sp?) and the other one with glasses and braids that make her look like an escapee from the Sound of Music.

Where do they get them from?
