"The FA alleges that the Premiership champions breached Rule E25 by testing on 12 July 2004."

I thought teh FA didnt like players taking drugs? surely this would help?

I suspect the rules are in place to stop clubs catching their own players in advance and taking steps to prevent the FA's drug testers from catching them...like telling a player to go shopping and not answer his phone when they turn up after a game.

It occured in July last year though, according to the article, so hardly recent.

Its a rule in football, Andy. No witchhunt, its a rule that's been broken. Simple as.

My team, Man U, never ever do anything wrong. We're angels.

but how on earth would the FA be able to fine clubs and players, and thus fund their little first class trips abroad?

Andy mac - you speak the truth. Good work.

Why does everyone jump to conclusions. I work for a law firm and we have regular drug testing. Up till now I've passed all tests without having to avoid answering my phone...

The FA should concentrate more on their own bloody issues & problems at the mo.... and quit paying £4,000,000 a year for a plate full of 'gone off' Swede!!
