The warranty is only 180 days :scratchchin:
The spec says it has an auto cut off :scratchchin:

Whose got one, do they last or burn out, can you keep them on permanently and since Im asking... would you label them cool, or tat?

Always wanted one, not sure whether to buy one or not.

They are cool, mine certainly was, I found it endlessly fascinating after certain nights out. Some broke it though and still hasn't replaced it

Got one, and many of these kinds of things. Switch them on for five minutes, get bored, switch them off and never use them again.

Plasma pole anyone?

Where did you get yours from? I agree with alex, you'll play with it for 5 mins then it will gather dust like everything else. Still want one though

Ohhhh, tempting. At that price, you could buy one for all your mates

I had a meeting with a cilent yesterday who builds all kinds of wicked gadgets, military nightvision, xray cameras, all very fascinating projects, I even got to nose round the factory but this particular client just so happened to own not one, but TWO fighter jets! of her own! Talk about envious...

Talk about being jealous!

Are you talking about the Xray lense which you simply put on the end of a sony camcorder with 0-lux? and you can see through peoples clothes?

She owns two fighter jets?!

Whats her car collection like?

I am genuinely very tempted by the MiG 25 trip to the edge of space...

I'm going to have a think about that.

Dunno what she drives, but there are pics in her office of her in 0-G environments, and her and her late husband in their jets. Id guess they are fighter jets... look like them (not quite eurofighters mind) but they are not commercial jets thats for sure.

Naa, its not the sony filter gag (before they fixed the shutter speed) these are cameras which can see through brick walls, and determind whether or not for example what brief case has inside it, whether there are any wires, etc. Cool stuff!

Someone told me that if you balance a penny on top of a plasma ball, then move your finger close to it, you get a spark jump across from the penny to your extended digit. Cool I thought, so I tried it....

...One thick plasma stream reaches for the penny and you do get an impressive spark off your finger tip, so I did it again.... this time it feckin hurt!!

Warning: under no circumstances try the above with any other body part!

Bob, how do the X-ray cameras work? Are you talking x-ray as in x-ray radiation cameras or cameras that see through stuff?
