FGess and I are thinking of going for some sun, sea, sand and relaxation at Christmas for 2 weeks.

We're not experienced sun-worshippers so have no idea of where is good to go at that time of year.

We've thought of Goa, Kerala, Spain, Cyrpus, Caribbean etc.

Any advice from the PH worshippers of sun?

TIA

A few years back I did a cruise round the carribean.

1 week on board the ship, the 2nd week in Montego Bay in Jamaica.

On the cruise we went to Mexico, Cuba, Cozumel, Isle de Pinos, Grand Cayman and a few other islands.

FANTASTIC. Christmas day was on an uninhabited island, lying half in half out the sea drinking Champagne and Red Stripe Beer. NY was in Jamaica at a big beach party. More alcohol (was on all inclusive), food and lots of limbo dancing.

Lavvely.

Last Christmas I did Hong Kong and Japan. A lot colder though.

We were on the Sun Dream, which is the sister ship to the Princess.

Not cheap, but a luxury hotel in Mauritius if you want sun, sea, swimming pool at Xmas time.

I you go on a cruise, I guarentee you will be the only people on board with your own hips.

Depending on budget, Sandals in Montego bay is cracking.... If you want enough money left to buy pressies though, Tenerrife will still be hot at that time of year.

Can't see the appeal of a Christmas Cruise.

Being banged up in close confine with a load of people you can't stand and eventually begin to hate. Excessively overindulging in food and drink and spending far more than you intended.

Might as well be at home.

Who said a cruise..... You haven't lived until you've seen "Rasta Santa" coming round the bay in a boat in the Carribean on Christmas morning
