Just do it. The worst they can do is confiscate it!

It makes a great impromptu kebab when everywhere else is shut and you have flatbreads

I hate to put a damper on your wish to help your friends, but if the US government can't get essential aid down there, I don't think that the post is going to get through. At least, not until the crisis is over.

Ime being told that the post is getting thru in some parts, the impression i am getting and i might be wrong is that the American Government didnt seem to think it was that bad then all of a sudden there has been this vacum and now they are saying hold on this is worst than first thought,,i can not believe that some 3-4 days after the hurricane i saw on TV last night acouple in the late 50's early 60's living in their car because there house has been flattenend and having not eaten for that duration,i mean WTF this is America not Asia we are talking about??

I know what you mean , i mean i knew 3 days before it hit that it would hit around about where it did , and thats from watching CNN .

I am a little amazed that the responce seems to be so slow , i know it is a massive task but they are supposed to be prepared for this kind of thing

The news media always seems to be able to get to (and operate in) these places pretty quickly.

I'm just astonished that the US Government couldn't requisition some pallets of water and helicopter them into the people in the SuperDome and Convention centre within a few hours. What have they been doing for Four Days???????
