Can't go wrong with whatever Phillishave you can afford if you ask me. My one was about £70 and has been good for the last 3 years but needs replacing now. Will get the same sort of thing but maybe a model up.

Cheers,
Rob.

I've found that Braun razors last forever. Mind you (as you might gather from the "handle" it didn't get used much until I gave it to Beard major a few years ago!

I had a basic Braun which lasted the best part of 7 years. I now have a Philishave Nivea squirty face balm goo thing. Which is surprisingly better than I expected.

I can never get them to work properly, so end up with 10 £1.20 bic razors.

Braun are very good! I have one that works from 12v to 240v ac/dc and bonus 'cos its also cordless.
Only thing I found was the foil tended to split causing full on blade to contact face. Oh and thats a point check for ease of spares

Get a Philips Ladyshave.

Anything that can cut female pubes should last years on mens whiskers

I'd rather shave with a meat cleaver, those things are awful - at least do yourself the decency of getting a Mach 3 or something! Although i have very thick fast growing stubble so maybe i suffer more than most...

I tried one once but it shaved nowhere near as close as a proper razor and irritated my face even more than a normal razor... Waste of money in my case (it was an expensive ish phillips one). You can't get any that give a proper close shave can you?

I have one of those Braun foils with the cleaner you charge and clean with.
Fantastic bit of kit.

I find the rotary action of a Philishave is much better at getting awkward whiskers than a side-to-side Braun.

Mine was £100+, a daft price for a shaver really, but I drew the line at the moisturising gel ones!
