Favourite Disney cartoon & characters.

What's yours then?

Mine has got to be 'The Jungle Book'

Baloo the Bear, George Sanders as Sharokahn the Tiger (class, pure class), Colonel Hathi the Elephant, and cousin Louie the King of the swingers :hehe:

Love it :D

[mcflurry]

For me, The Jungle Book is near the top.. but pipped by The Lion King. After seeing the show live I proposed to my wife

Our kittens are called Simba and Nala too lol

[polarbert]

are we on about disney films or cartoons?

i would say tom and jerry (or is that wb?)

[driftwood]

I guess I should say 'The Aristocats' (the original film from 1970)......only because I worked for Walt Disney Promotions at the time, dressed as a 6' something tall accordion playing pussycat (Italian Cat) in the Scat Cat Band. Great fun, money good....those were the days!

Minor thread diversion - my favourite minor character is Mr Starkey but who is he and which Disney cartoon is he in? Don't Google it, that's too easy!

[Lois]

Simba, although The Lion King made me cry!!

NOTE: (NSFW) Type "Simba" into google images and look at the 1st one.....oh my eyes!

When I was a kid, I remember going too see Snow White for the first time - that was in the early 1970's. It was light years ahead of its time then, and it was made in the 1930's. Teriffic movie!

More recently, it has to be one of the movies resulting from Disney's link with Pixar. Probably "The Incredibles" would be my recent favourite. As for my favourite character, I reckon "Eyore" from Winnie The Pooh!

[ErnestM]

Hmmmmm... Snow White you say...

Beauty And The Beast - no question.

Without a doubt the finest Disney Movie ever made.

In the year it was released - 1991, Premiere Magazine polled the top 100 film reviewers world wide for their votes at Oscar Time.

Silence of the Lambs won the Oscars, but the Reviewers voted for B&TB with more than twice as many votes. Unfortunately Oscars are never given to animated movies.

Beauty And The Beast is as close to movie perfection as any film I can think of.

Aladdin is not that far behind, but doesn't have quite the genius.

Also The Little Mermaid

[Monkey Boy 1]

Any of the Pixar animations are absolute brilliance. Mikes New Car & The Birds, both very short films, but both very ammusing. Monsters inc. is a big
But as this is about favourite Disney cartoon & characters... well, one thing is for certain, I detest Mickey mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto & Goofy. My favourite.
Bamby brings back bad memories as I had to endure my young children playing the video time & time again when I was off work, immobile with a broken leg. It got to the stage where I found some continuity mistakes in the animations, it got that bad.

Favourite must the Aristorcats especially the Motorcycle & side car scene.
