stop... It's a bit like going to a cash and carry....You wanna go and have a look around....Buy loads of stuff cause it was a good idea at the time, only to realise you didn'y really need it, and certainly don't WANT it. I bought a £200 golf club once. As my bid was being put in, PC went mental and kicked me out. Went back in put my bisd in again, only to realise later it was a different club (but the same?!). So I had bought 2 identical clubs. Managed to sell one back though..... lost about £50.....which was nice.
To be fair, I've had more goodies than baddies.
Latest acquisition is a powder-coating setup
I've had some bargains: full set of fat Jag injectors, c/w fuel rails: £5.50 (Exc. carriage)
Rover V8 full injection system (metalwork, ECU, loom, the lot): £53. I've seen ECUs go for £150 by themselves...
Then I've had cases where I've bought something and then thought 'Ouch, a bit steep' only to see that further units sell for similar money, so that makes it a bit better. Case in point was my Guyson sandblast cabinet: I paid £235 for mine, the last one the same went for £236.60
My Bridgeport mill cost me £265; I've seen them go for a lot less but mine was ex-college so had never seen hard use. There was a semi-auto version of it sold for £51 a couple of weeks back;
I was tempted but me Julie would have had words...
Sales-wise, most of the stuff I sell I've rescued from the bin at work; my best deal was a damaged (written-off by insurers) camera system. Cost £18,000; sold it for £125.
My best-sellers are ex-equipment variacs (variable output transformers): I can get £40-60 no trouble, at work we just throw them out...
Incidentally I used to own a Fender electric bass; the real Precision though, not that Squier tat...

I just wish there was an equally popular alternative to Ebay that:
1) Just sold stuff at a fixed price, like small ads, none of this infuriating auction shit
2) Didn't require you to enter personal details which any random sod can read
Then I too would be buying machine tools to put in my flat at every opportunity.
Only trouble is they'd probably end up 3 floors down, in the cellar, on top of the squashed remains of the inhabitants of the flats in between...

Just for the crack I looked on their site. Their "Metalworking" section is headed with a picture of a little lathe
but the only items actually listed in it appear to be two pillar drills and a bandsaw. Do they have some sort of secret extra listing that you can get at by clicking on links in Morse to spell out the password or something?
