To all you techno people!

Hi all.
Just in the process of connecting my laptop to my Hifi so I can play all my stored music through it.
I have bought the jack to two phono wire (or whatever it's called!) and connected it all up. This has stopped the sound coming through the laptop, but the radio is still playing on the hifi! What setting do I need it on to play the laptop?!

Oh and if you need to know it's a Sony MHC-NX3AV.

Change the input mode on your stereo - probably to AUX.

Actually one other question.
With little fifi only having a tape player, would I be able to record the music played through the CD player onto tape?

Yep, just get the CD you want in the machiney thing, pause it at the start of the track/s u want, put a black cassette in the thingy and press record on the cassette thing

does that make sense?

Except they're not on CD! They're just stored MP3s!

how about if you burn the mp3's onto a CD, then do the thing I said !?

just press record on tape, and play whatever you want on the MP3, as long as it is wired normally into the hifi

I've already done that but the CD player just read the album as being one track and it was silent!

Try burning an audio CD instead of a data CD with mp3s on it. Might work better
