Where to stay in northern france

want to drive over this weekend and stay somewhere with a pool with good restaurants etc nearby.Not that bothered about beach but a chateaux would be nice.About 2 hrs or less from calais.

Anyone know of a good place.

Yes, I stayed a lot for business all over france, use this site, it is competing with Relais & Chateaux, is very affordable, and usually is lots of residences full of character.

there is a searchable map, and an English version on top.

I use to go to Le Touquet loads.

But use to stay at a hotel down the main strip which I cannot remember the name.

I'll ask Mrs Gman and get back to you.

Don't you love it when French websites give the flag for English as the US stars and stripes rather than the Union Jack.

I was just about to ask a similar question, Anyone know any self catering type places around Bordeaux?
I was looking at Arcachon, but can't find anything other than hotels that have space? looking 4 21st to 26th - beach / pool for girlfiend - beer for me.

look on the website for Country cottages, they are brill and include the ferry cost in the price. varying from small to massive properties.
