Driving past the 'Orange Tree' in Hitchin, large sign board on the roadside stating "Christmas menus available soon"

FFS - its AUGUST...

I live in the road behind that pub, although I'm moving out now. I'm basically moving because they've been advertising their christmas menu since June.

That irritating twit on Capital radio (the bacon guy)had a whole show dedicated to Christmas yesterday.

I switched on to a Christmas song!

Listened to the reason why. Then switched off.

Which in itself is the same as the summer menu in most places. Mince pies replace summer pud, there's more pate on and the spring onions go out of the window.

Yep, I saw those. If you go into a lot of chain pubs right now you will be greated by a christmas tree and an entreaty to book now or you'll be too late...
